Wearing compression stockings and limited bending of my knee (as in right out of surgery is zero bending) putting on socks this helps keep the compression socks from rolling up. The shoe horn isn't just a post surgery but now 2 months out we both use because our fingers hurt from arthritis to slip our shoes on and this helps every.single.day!The . whatcha-ma-call-it that input around my foot, and can hang on to thw other end & lift my leg was the number one thing I bought this for - I needed one by the bed (from Dr office) and one by the couch, the two places I lived for 2 wks post-op. And now 2 months out still use in rehab excersize- it's better than what the Dr office gave me, its solid/ridgid on the bottom of my foot.The grippers are a bonus - during recovery i would just get tired getting in & out of the chair. Simply dropping the tv remote just out of reach was exhausting.
