This is a CARB CA approved cat which is a lot more expensive than fattened cats so I was very surprised at the poor quality. 2012 Honda Pilot Touring AWD. Cons: The inside of the intake pipe was covered in oil from welding slag and metal shavings and needed a thorough cleaning prior to installation to keep debris from falling directly into the honeycomb after it was heated. the surfaces were also covered with welding slag and had to be cleaned smooth for installation. Much of the shell's exterior was covered in weld slag, which doesn't affect performance or fit, but certainly says a lot about quality. on the exhaust pipe that is not on the original. Luckily I had an old sensor to hook up. Pros: Aside from the extra O2 plug, the fit was the same as the original. No problem when aligning the EGR pipe, cat holder or exhaust downpipe. He fixed the P0430 code and passed the CAT test, so he's working as an OEM for now. The original Honda cat only lasted 120,000 miles so I'm hoping this cat will last at least that long.
