These risers are easy to assemble. I used a short leg piece for one and a longer leg piece for the other. In both cases, the monitors are exactly at the height I want. I didn't have to open the second leg bag. Note that I had to flip the whole thing over on a flat surface and press to get the legs fully in place. That shouldn't bother anyone. The elevators are absolutely stable. There are rubber pads that attach to the bottom of each leg. It's not mandatory. The front slit is good - maybe for a note to yourself. I am completely satisfied with my purchase.
