My rating only refers to the switch. The switch opens/closes under 17 inches of mercury vacuum out of the box and is reasonably stable. I was able to adjust the setting to 20 inches by turning the screw at the base of the switch. There is no measurable hysteresis, resulting in erratic operation and short pump cycles. It would be much better to work with an inch or two difference between opening and closing. This switch is more suitable as a limit or warning switch, it is less suitable as a vacuum control switch. The clips that come with it don't seem to fit the connector, they dangle and don't sit properly, but they work. The switch currently controls the relay that controls the Hella UP28 vacuum pump, but I will look for a more suitable replacement.
