    Incorrect vacuum setting.

    This switch proved to be very problematic. You would think it's designed to shut off the pump at the right high vacuum, but it's not. When this switch is on, I don't get nutritional support. I was made aware that I don't have a check valve, but even so the pump shuts off prematurely and the switch is not adjustable.

    That does not work. It shuts off at about 5 inches of vacuum.

    Not working! It shuts off at about 5 inches of vacuum and then becomes unresponsive when the vacuum drops and then randomly turns on and off. For me it works via a relay so there isn't a huge electrical load on it. It certainly doesn't handle 17-20 inches of vacuum as intended. I'll try setting it up as mentioned by another user but I have little hope that it will work. I will probably return it. No, my block does not have a set screw.     Buy Summit Racing Vacuum Pump

    Bought this on an 87 Grand National to get the vacuum brakes working. Installed and had nothing but problems, blown the supplied 10A fuse, installed another fuse and it blew, set 15, 20, 25 and finally kept 25. It turned out that my problems were solved. no Drove the car around the block, the brakes worked the first few times but stalled. Found a blocked pump.     Works, but not very well

    My rating only refers to the switch. The switch opens/closes under 17 inches of mercury vacuum out of the box and is reasonably stable. I was able to adjust the setting to 20 inches by turning the screw at the base of the switch. There is no measurable hysteresis, resulting in erratic operation and short pump cycles.     Dracary's Electric Vacuum Pump Kit 28146

    Upon purchase and installation found that the switch cuts the relay off at 6 inches of vacuum, not nearly enough for power brakes. Customer of this product! The switch needs to be set according to several ads selling this setup, it is set but never set to the 20" vacuum cutoff point. Either it was higher and the pump never shut off, or the vacuum was 10, 12, or 8 inches when it shut down and never shut down at the same point twice.
