We had a small aquarium which I filtered and changed the water every other day, it had no bubbles or aerators. Our Betta turned pale and built foam nests. He was obviously unhappy, trying to get oxygen and I was confused by all the conflicting information on the internet. If he built a nest of bubbles he was happy, but if he turned pale he was unhappy. What could I do? Enter this aquarium. I wasn't sure if my rooster would make it through the night as the current was very strong and he seemed to have to swim against it and I was afraid he would get tired. But he was only playing! HE LOVES TO! It's been almost a week and he looks so happy! Swim and flash around. He sleeps behind a filter or in a cave. So there are places where the current doesn't carry him away. Its color even comes back! This reservoir cleans, filters, bubbles and glows. The light heats the water. We don't have air conditioning next to the tank, so it will be warmer than in the "comfort zone". I hope this means it will be warmer in the winter but we'll see if we need heating for the winter. For warmer aquarium water in the summer we just turn the lights off most of the time and that seems to help as long as the house stays cooler. My husband said he likes the rounded corners because it gives the best unobstructed view.
