Review on Compression Ankle Ice Wrap Gray by Brad Ward

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but needs some improvement on future models

I bought the coldest water ankle compression sleeve and it's good but the ice pack can't cover the entire ankle just the back , butt and sides and not the top that I really need/want because it's the top of my legs that swells up everyday from having to take blood pressure meds. So I went looking and found the Vive Compression Ankle Ice Wrap and it looked like it was covering the top of my ankle. Yes, it covers the top of the ankle. I complain that the ice pack in the Vive doesn't have a sweat-free brushed side that wraps around the ankle, unlike the Coldest Water product. Although both say you should wear a material like socks on your foot to avoid freezing your skin because the Coldest Water product had a non-sweaty brushed side, I was able to put my foot in. and get no frostbite on my skin. On the Vive product, it has typical mailorder vinyl on the outside, which will cause frost burns on the skin unless you put on a sock or other fabric barrier. And because of that barrier, he gets frost on the outside and sweats on thawing. If Vive replaced the ice pack with a sweat-free matte fabric, I would give it 5 stars.
