That the position of the folder must be horizontal.

These are very attractive and sturdy shelves. I have mine hanging on the back of a door. The only difficulty I had was getting the screw into the door. Not at all the doors fault.I have two folders in each of the sections. Terrific!Purchasers should know that the folders go in sideways, binding side up, not standing vertically.
