Review on Caru - Stew for Cats, Natural Cat Food with Vitamins, Non-GMO Ingredients, Complete & Balanced for All Life Stages (6 oz) - Case of 12 by Mayra Castillo

I have a cat with IBS and the Karoo doesn't cause a reaction. Are those cat foods with canola oil, sunflower oil, or coconut oil okay, and why are they in cat food at all? Any oily cat food (besides fish oil?) can cause problems. All "chewing gum" and "seaweed" should also be avoided. I am very happy with the ingredients in this Caru Chicken cat food and all my cats love it too. (I also feed Honest Kitchen dry food) 2 times a day (I add water) and with this addition to her daily diet I feel like I am doing my best for her health. Caru Turkey cat food will be the next thing I try. And NO, there is NO oil in it, although a typo on Revain shows that the ingredient list says it contains oil, in fact it doesn't. It's not dog food either. If you look at the container, you can also read that there are no green beans or oil in it. (I called the company to confirm this.) If your cat or kitten has diarrhea - another piece of advice - the best way to keep your cat healthy is to treat your cat's diarrhea as well; PetUltimates Probiotics for Cats - 20 Kinds - Stop Diarrhea and Vomiting, Eliminate Toilet Odor; You can get it here on Revain. This is a fine powder containing the right bacteria to treat your cat's colon. I don't buy anything for my cats from China. It's made in the USA and it really works! The amount you use is tiny and comes in a container with a small scoop. They simply sprinkle them over their wet food. I've been using Mia's chicken baby food (tiny baby jar for 0.99 cents each) while waiting for the Karoo and Honest Kitchen to arrive. Baby food is only good for a short time as it's not made for cats - just 2 ingredients, chicken plus a small amount of cornstarch. Cornstarch shouldn't normally be eaten by your cat, but chicken with some cornstarch is very soothing for the stomach and colon while adding probiotics. Again, this is for short-term use only. Her IBS and diarrhea were extreme. I tried so many things to help Mia and nothing worked until I got Pet Ultimate. (Mia got it every morning with baby formula for severe diarrhea - and in just 2 days she was normal!) She also stayed normal at Caru & Honest Kitchen. I'm glad my little savior doesn't have to suffer like she used to or be locked up because she "leaked" even while walking. I know this is a long post but I was desperately trying to find a cure and it took a long time. I hope this helps someone who needs some advice. (and yes I had her stool checked by the vet and nothing came out - but if she did she would be on medication and Pet Ultimate would be on at the time too) It's good to rule out anything that is being examined in the stool sample and go from there. But be careful if the vet tells you to use the cat food they recommend. Mention Per Ultimate and tell them why you're going to use it, if you want. But I urge you to use this drug INSTEAD of propektin, which never worked. Don't buy a cheaper type from another type. In my opinion they are really unbalanced. If you don't change cat food, add probiotics directly to your wet food. If you only feed dry food, please add wet food, they really need it.
