This is a good product. This thermal transfer printer is only slightly larger than an external CD drive and can write directly on CD types (-R, -RW, DVD-RAM, -R and -RW). The print design is fairly limited and will only come in one color, although ribbons come in a variety of colors so you can pick the color you want. Unlike thermal transfer printers, which cost 10 to 20 times more, this printer doesn't print graphics and complex patterns onto the disc. You're limited to a few print lines in whatever fonts you've downloaded to your computer. While you can't make truly professional-looking discs, the results are far superior to stickers that never seem to stick or are written on the disc with a marker. The print is crisp, easy to read and does not scratch or peel off. To work well you need to print to a blank area of the hard drive. It does not print well on labels or on slightly raised areas of the disc. This printer is worth the money if you want to write cleanly on your discs but don't want to spend an excessive amount of money.
