This product recommends connecting to a power source when docking both an SSD and a SATA drive. The hub has a specially designed USB-C connector. I installed a 1TB WD Blue SSD and my MINI didn't recognize it. Tried many things without help. All to try, so I plugged it into my phone charger and MINI registered the ride straight away. I strongly recommend that customers with internal drives installed connect to a power source (USG-C to USB-A cable included). I think the manufacturer information should be changed. Data transfer is unbearably slow when downloading data; For transactions ok. If you often need to move a lot of data to a hub drive, don't buy it.
