We needed something our little one couldn't slip out of. It was too strong for a diaper and too small for the Velcro of the original diaper. We bought the pod when she was about 6 weeks old and weighed only 8 pounds. Since knitting is very stretchy, she was able to stretch her arms behind her neck. It wasn't an effective solution until she grew up. Couldn't use it until she filled it up and got bigger (now over 10lbs). But now that she's bigger, fitter, more comfortable in a diaper, and settled into her sleep routine, it's working well for us. This is a very soft knit. A great stretch and zip prevent her from doing a Houdini escape and waking up.
