Bought for a brand new Ender 3 Pro. I set up the printer, typed it up, and printed on it with a standard plastic extruder for over a week. After making sure everything was working as expected, it was time to "update my extruder". And it was GREAT. within 2 days. then it started to slip, stick, etc. now, extruders aren't rocket science. It's a combination of the right tension with the right "teeth" for the material you're using. Which brings me to issue #1: although it has a spring, screws, ring, etc, there wasn't much adjustment. Tighten all the way, all the way and somewhere in the middle, the tension was the same. I tried different gears but nothing changed. It wasn't my "first rodeo" with extruders, I've tried several different ones. If I'm doing a long run with one thread over a few days, I use my BMG (they aren't kind to me to switch threads). But when I'm in one of those moods where I'm going to be changing filament a lot, I want my basic Bowden extruder. And so far my best experience has been with a standard plastic extruder. Yes, you have to dial in your E-steps (with ANY extruder), but the default has remained stable and reliable for me. I might have gotten a bad one, but based on my experience I can't recommend it. .and this is definitely NOT an update. I see it as money spent on parts and a backup if needed.
