Type of review

These work very, very well; very smooth, straight, and powerful. My machine uses 2 Z-steppers, so I had to increase the max. current on the driver, and add a heatsink. A note to Repetier users: The leadscrew calculator lists a T8-2 leadscrew, but the value this calculator returns must be divided by 4, for example, the motors are a 1.8 degree step, and my driver is set for 1/16 step, giving 3200 pulses per revolution. On these 4-lead screws, 1 revolution gives 8mm of travel, so the correct…

Pros
  • worked great
Cons
  • The motor's high power consumption can lead to increased electricity bills and strain on the machine's power supply

Not bad for the price.

Came well packaged in a cardboard box and foam. Installed really easily on my custom printer and was a perfect fit. It did come with a slight bend near the top of the leadscrew but my rigid Z axis counters any flex. Makes for a vary rigid Z axis with no detectable slop or backlash.

Pros
  • Additive Manufacturing Products
Cons
  • The motor's noise level may be too loud for users working in quiet environments, such as home offices or shared workspaces

Go elsewhere in my review

Faulty straight out the box. Connected up and attempted to home on the 3D printer. Binds in both directions. What a waste.

Pros
  • {}
Cons
  • The motor's weight may cause structural damage or instability to the 3D printer or CNC machine over time

Nice fit of the backlash nuts

Surprised how nicely the backlash nuts fit. Most of what I held in my hands, had as much play (new) so you could drive a moving truck through. Not so with these! The product I chose is the one with the 8mm diameter, 2mm lead. The max acceleration needs to be trimmed to match the ability of the stepper. I think I found settings that do the trick and they perform great.

Pros
  • NEMA 17 Stepper Motor with Integrated 350mm Tr8x8 Lead Screw, much stable than shaft coupling connecting
Cons
  • The motor's advanced features and capabilities may be too complicated or daunting for entry-level users, deterring them from investing in the product

Plastic Backlash Nut is way too high of friction

The stepper motor is fine, but plan on getting a different nut (other than the black plastic one that came with mine), or waste half of your motor's energy on friction.

Pros
  • High torque nema 17 stepper motor, 400mN.m/57.1 oz.in, 42mm, 2 phase 4 wires
Cons
  • The motor's complicated wiring and installation process may require specialized tools and equipment, which can further increase costs

Approx 10mm TOO LONG for ANYCUBIC Photon S Printer

The Lead screw is too long, I decided to Drill a 3/8" Hole Through the Top Plate centered of the lead screw. Otherwise Product works great. (ANYCUBIC PHOTON S PRINTER)

Pros
  • 3D Printer Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • The motor's motor driver may not be able to withstand prolonged use or high-speed movements, leading to overheating and potential damage
