I'm not easily impressed, but.

My initial impression of this printer is very high. I've been 3D printing for close to a decade now using a printer that was largely made of it's own 3D printed parts, as many were back then. Heck, it's running a job right now. It's been through many parts and modifications over the years to improve it's performance. Out of the gate though, this Creality Ender bests my old machine in a few areas. I learned to work with the slop in my X and Z carriages the way a hack golfer learns to aim his…

Pros
  • Its compatibility with various filaments - including PLA, ABS, and PETG - means you can experiment with different materials to achieve unique printing results
Cons
  • Limited durability or lifespan compared to other 3D printers

Better if it came with a printed manual.

Days to arrive, hours to assemble. You should go to youtube and watch a couple videos before getting started .I wish there was a printed instruction manual that detailed how this works. You must go online to find the operating manual. When assembling, Skip the zrod screw install until last. insert it from the top and just place the tip into the stepper motor coupling. Its much easier to install that way and it will not bind. Some things overlooked. Set the bed temperature in the menu, set the…

Tweak The Endstops to Catch Earlier. Had slight issue

The x and y endstops seem to be triggering just a little late which caused the homing to bump against the endstops and keep trying to travel slightly. This cause the belts to skip a tooth or two causing a slight grinding noise. Nothing big at all and it was a 5 second fix. I just bent the endstops out a little so they would trigger a couple millimeters sooner. PRINTER IS AMAZING THOUGH!My first printer was the Anet A8 and this is just better in every single category PERIOD. I can't understand…

  • With its user-friendly interface and intuitive control panel, you can effortlessly navigate the printer's settings

The Best 3d printer for beginners and more

I love this 3d printer. This is the second 3d printer I have owned. The first was a much cheaper model that was easy to build, but never worked. I bought this one after deciding i didn't want to fight with it anymore. I am glad i did. This 3d printer is easy to set up and just works. I simply make my model or download one, run it through cura, export to the sd card, insert the card, and print. Very easy, and failed adhesions are very rare. I also like that this printer is upgradable to make the

Pros
  • The printer's offline printing mode means you can continue your printing projects without requiring constant connectivity to a computer
Cons
  • Limited language support for non-English-speaking users

Amazing printer! New to printing, this is the one you want!

I previously purchased a different printer, and struggled to get decent prints out of it. It took endless settings tweaking to get something that still took a whole lot of clean-up to make look decent. My Ender 3 is amazing though. I put it together in about an hour, and was printing less than an hour after that. I started with a test print on the dog file that is included, and was blown away. The pictures I've included have not had any clean-up at all with the exception of taking off the…

Prints everything - my new review

I printed a lot of things, containers with cover sleeves, statues, models, figurines, placement display and hinged items.I had to lay down the figures. most of them got their heads mangled (I will call cust svc about the height print prob).Printed some without support and models with brim, and raft. These things are 3 to 4 inches.Terminator 14hr print. Laggan thats resting on the power supply took 4hrs and is a good size, the orb 2.5in 6hr print.yoda 3hr, harley q 6hr, gold container 12hr.I set

Get it now! The best starter 3d printer on the market!

If you are starting out with 3d printing this is the printer for you. and once in a while Revain has it on sale for $189.99 also! I use only 3D solutech filament as it has never failed me. I have updated some photos and a video to show you it at various stages of builds. If the filament does not stick truthfully 9 times out of 10 it is from not leveling the bed and having it low enough for the 1 layer adhesion. Questions, just ask. quiet and affordable. it works and for educators too it s the…

Pros
  • The printer's simple design makes it easy to use, even for beginners
Cons
  • Not suitable for printing intricate or highly-detailed models

I was skeptical despite a ton of other good reviews, but took the plunge and bought the Ender 3. It took about an hour to put together and another hour to tune and calibrate; The results are very impressive given the price point.Pros:- Great print quality in PLA practically 'out of the box'.- easy to assemble and calibrate.- complete tool and accessory kit came with it.- 8 GB card came with it loaded with drivers, manual, and a cute dog print.- extremely easy to tune and operate.Cons:- Make…

Great Value - Great Printer

I have had this for about a year now. The only problems I have had are, in order of severity, the print surface sticks on too well tot he print. I just damaged it as a part, when flexing the plate to remove it, took part of the plate with it. Yes, it is that sticky to the prints. Number 2, I had to replace the head as the insulation tape around the nozzle got messed up due to a print failure. This eventually led to a nozzle & head clog. I bought the replacement which uses silicon instead so I…

Pros
  • The printer's open-source nature means you can upgrade and enhance its features over time
Cons
  • May require additional cooling or ventilation to prevent overheating or damage

Very Frustrating Machine

It's been a couple of days now and I'm still adjusting the bed, once you have it dialed in and think your ready to go, nope you'll have to adjust it all over again. Or after the first print has been done and if you want to reprint the same print you'll have to adjust it all over again. Very frustrating but a pro is that there are may options for upgrades .but if you're a beginner I wouldn't suggest this machine.

Pros
  • The Creality 3D brand is known for producing reliable and durable printers
Cons
  • May pose a fire hazard if not used correctly or if faulty components are present

Works great, but has one major problem

This printer has been a journey for me, i recieved it, and the first prints embedded to the bed (this is my first 3d printer, so i didnt know all of the stuff i needed to do) so, i replaced it with a new print surface, for some reason my fake buildtak was on a plastic sheet with no adhesive securing it to the aluminum, so i was able to easily swap it for a glass sheet which worked for awhile, then i noticed the bed consistantly going out of level, then mod after mod after mod etc. later it…

Pros
  • The printer's robust construction ensures stable and accurate printing results
Cons
  • Printing can emit unpleasant odors or fumes, which may be harmful to health

Great printer for the price; some challenges

There's a reason 3D printing is still a hobby - Had some failed prints due to a loose bed, then realized that the bed was warped, causing other print issues. So it takes some fiddling to get it tuned up right. I'm testing out a glass bed to see if that helps with my other print issues. But, for the price, I am happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it for anyone willing to take their time, do the research, and experiment.

Pros
  • The printer's silent printing mode ensures you can work on your projects without any excessive noise or distractions
Cons
  • Printing can be interrupted if power supply is disrupted

It just works, beautifully!

The Ender 3 was my second attempt at 3D printing. My first was an early, mostly wood kit that really didn't work. It required WAY too much tinkering and fiddling to get anything out of it. Granted, it was a early model. The Ender 3 worked perfectly right out of the box (after assembly, of course). Sure, the instructions are poor but there are plenty of videos and websites to help with that. Plus, if you TAKE YOUR TIME, you can follow them. My time to build was under 2 hours and would have been…

Pros
  • The printer's DIY Kit means you can customize and configure its settings to your exact requirements
Cons
  • Requires regular maintenance and upkeep to ensure proper performance

Update: Buy this printer

10-23-18: The seller went out of their way to really make me a happy customer. I can't wait for the next generation of creality machines, itll be hard to top this.10-22-18: Edit and Update: was contacted by seller, they gave me a glass bed (well refunded me for one that I bought). This fixed my issue with the warped bed for the most part, bed is still warped but i'm printing on straight glass so it doesn't matter. The power supply voltage switch was finicky, but I got it to stay at 110 (or…

Completely satisfied!

EDIT: After a back and forth with enomaker I have adjusted my rating. They went literally above and beyond addressing each issue I had leaving an amazing impression on me. Will purchase from again - the Ender 3 at sub 200$ is an amazing printer - it doesn’t come without it’s issues, But are easily remedied in conjunction with enomaker’s amazingly responsive team and management. I had initially recieved a defective machine, but the team went through and addressed each issue and was patient when I

Pros
  • The Economic Ender 3D Printer DIY Kit offers high-quality printing results at an affordable price
Cons
  • Limited customer support or technical assistance available from manufacturer

The packing was amazingly good in closed-cell foam cut to fit the pieces, and glued where needed. Hardware was good quality. Came with a complete set of good tools.I do machining in my spare time. This machine was very square, the CNC machining really makes a difference. The overall design is excellent. The included removable print bed adheres ABS very well. The leveling wheels are excellent, and they have nice strong springs to keep it sable. The Y axis is AL, which makes is strong. All that…

  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Long printing times can lead to decreased productivity and a slower workflow

An EXCELLENT printer!

I have several Ender 3 printers and this particular printer has far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting the same print quality as my other Ender 3 printers and this one has blown me away. Even though it's still using the 8-bit controller board.

Pros
  • Resume Printing after power-off: ender 3 could resume prints after a power outage or lapse occurs
Cons
  • Print quality can be inconsistent or subpar

Great prints right out of the box

Easy to assembly. Makes great prints. Bed material is very aggressive with adhesion. Will change material to glass, but keep bed material if I need to make larger prints.

Pros
  • Patent Technology One: MK-8 Extruder greatly reduces plugging risk and bad extrusion; Patent Technology Two: adopt high stand profile with wheel, it is noiseless, smoothly and durable.
Cons
  • Size of printer may be cumbersome or inconvenient for some users
