Much better than the stock flat plate, but it's an expensive upgrade

This angled build plate upgrade is a great addition to an already great 3D printer. Ordinarily this would be a five star product, but the problem is that the Best Buy price is literally double the price at Phrozen's own website, so I'm taking off a star for that. It's pretty expensive for a small hunk of metal and plastic that's not strictly needed, but works fantastically nevertheless.

Significant improvement to stock flat plate

This cuts down on resin waste and greatly improves clean up time. The stock flat plate is fine but this is worth the extra.

Pros
  • Way better than the flat plate it shipped with. Less cleanup and less spill.
Cons
  • Depending on the model of printer being used, the platform may require additional modifications or adjustments to function properly

Needed upgrade for Phrozen Sonic Mini

I bought this because I didn't want resin sitting on top of the stock build plate. This angled build plate allows resin to work off and back into the resin vat.

  • I think that this product needs to be standard on the mini.
Cons
  • The Phrozen Building Platform for Sonic Mini 4K is quite expensive, making it an impractical investment for users on a tight budget

Great build plate best in my review

This is so much better than the standard build plate, far easier to clean and creates a lot less mess. It's a shame it's not included with the printer

  • Some users have reported difficulty in achieving proper adhesion of printed objects to the platform's surface, resulting in warped or misshapen prints

Not smooth build surface = failed prints

After 4 failed prints in a row, and occasionally returning to it to try again. I am convinced that it's build surface is not 100% level. Which means I have wasted my money and resin on what I thought would be the perfect solution.

Not very good :( in my review

The body is angled and drains resin which is nice. Unfortunately the mounting bracket is bent and doesn’t tighten fully against the printer. I basically can’t get it right enough to prevent wobbling. The factory print platform doesn’t have this problem.

  • Huge improvement over the flat platform supplied with printer.
Cons
  • The platform's build area may not be suitable for larger 3D printing projects, limiting its versatility
