They worked fine for about an hour. They don't leak, but hands do get sweaty in them and the gloves got quite wet after an hour of wear. Another problem is that you have to wash them frequently to get rid of the smell. I'm afraid long time washing will make them unusable for water protection after enough washing. Anyway I bought it as a traffic controller and used it every day in the rain as well as at night. I would give them more stars if they didn't get wet from sheer sweat and smelly inside. If only a more absorbent material were used for the glove's liner, it could result in sweat not soaking through the liner, which is quite thin. Odor and moisture issues aside, they're very comfortable and really warm, at least while they're dry. They were great for use at night when I was signaling on the street and protected me with reflective glove straps. I've come to terms with the fact that my hands will eventually get cold and wet after prolonged use and I'll have to wash my hands after I take them off, but at least they've increased my visibility to riders and given me extra protection from the elements, that is the reason for the 3 stars.
