Very handy for small aquaria, 1 pump per gallon of water brings KH to about 35ppm and about 80-100ppm GH. I have a 5 gallon tank of filtered water, I only need 1 gallon = 1 pump per water change. If you simply pump the product into the aquarium, cloudiness may appear, but it will disappear fairly quickly. Also, shrimp are sensitive to changes in water parameters, so you should only do this in small amounts at a time. In large aquariums, this product is quickly used up.
