I use this travel mug regularly; I love that you can brew tea in it and it stays hot for hours. However, over time it has become quite worn and the seals in the lid are starting to wear out. This mug looks like a great replacement. It is one piece - all metal except for a separate lid mechanism. The rubber grip is in the right place to hold comfortably. The cap design allows you to rest your mouth on the rim to drink from it. The design of the cap allows liquid to pass through the entire circumference. The cap mechanism is inside the rim; If the mug is accidentally dropped, it is protected from impact. The mechanism is in one piece, made entirely of plastic. It snaps onto the threads sewn inside the cup. It is easy to take out and clean. (The instructions say to hand wash everything.) It's easy to open and close. The only question is how the plastic will hold up in the long run. Overall I am very happy with this mug and hope it will come in handy again.
