It works and is exactly what I need. It was difficult to install without the same company wiring harness. I got that. I plugged it in as instructed and the drum light was on but no light was working. I was able to turn off the toggle switch. On the second try I left the black wire (common ground) and swapped both positive wires on either end of the controller. The light was always on. I then took one side of the controller and just swapped the positive wires on that side. Now everything works as it should, but the toggle switch does not go off. I don't think it will do any harm. Also the first few times I used the remote it worked at about 60 feet. After using it for testing and just learning the buttons, it now only works at about 20 feet. I will change the battery in the remote and that should fix the problem. Hope that helps. In addition, if the remote control does not work, you have no way to turn on the light. You may want to plug it in so you can remove the controller to use the light if needed.
