The lights were easy to install. They come rolled up in a box. I unrolled them and placed them outside in the heat to get them to lay flat. If you don't, they want to coil up. The adhesive tape is very sticky and hold in place very well. I wish the pig tails were a bit longer. Other than that, I like the lights. They are bright and I like the on/off switch provided. Looked at a bunch of options before landing on these. As you can see from the photos, they are BRIGHT and consistent which is exactly what I was looking for. decent lights . couple of things , when you get these you need to get them out of the box and stretch them out flat . they want to curl back up . I left these with the ends held down for a couple of days before I installed them . these came with zero instructions . your vehicle MUST be spotless for the lights to stick , if not use the screw clips or in my case , installing them on the pickup , I was able to drill holes and use zip ties . the wiring is pretty straight forward . easier to install

I chose this Nilight kit over some other cheaper options for a couple reasons. I wanted something that was waterproof and these LED light strips have a nice thick clear waterproof casing over them to keep moisture out and also help protect the LEDs.I also wanted something with a black backing so it would look as "invisible” as possible when they were not in use. Works as advertised as bright as shown but adhesive is no good at the ends of the strip needed a two part epoxy adhesive and clamps to secure in place. So far so good. Tapped hot lead into the trucks running light wire. Used that wire as I’m thinking I will only need lights when it’s dark out and head lights will be on thus powering running light lead. No reason for a constant hot as lights could be left on by accident and run battery down. JMHO of course

Installed in about an hour. Make sure you wipe-down the surface with rubbing alcohol where the lights will be mounted.needs to be 100% clean! Very bright.almost painfully bright. Don't need to worry about waterproof-ness since they're mounted in my truck bed that has a topper. Would buy again.

I purchased these light strips to use in the bed of my pickup, but repurposed one as a backup light. A friend's place is pitch black at night and I have trouble seeing when backing up (camper shell gives me a view through three layers of tinted glass). The truck's OEM backup lights aren't enough with the backup camera. However, with this strip installed and tied into the OEM backup light wiring, it's perfect. Plenty of light to see by.

The product seems to work like a charm but my only concern is wiring the switch. I wanted to mount the switch towards the tailgate, but due to the pigtails are gonna run towards the cab, I’m having to wing it. The light this puts out is very good.The challenge is if you have a full size pickup (and probably a compact one) you will need to cut off their special connector and reattach it to extend the wire to the passenger side. (or cut off both male and female connect and splice to wires going to thier switch). They give you the same amount of wire from the light strip (possibly four feet) for both sides. Not sure on the actual adhesive strength, because I don't rely on just the sticky stuff. Use it to hold it up while screwing the clips on. But they are the brightest LEDs yet and all are lit with out any being dead. For the cost it's really hard to find anything better.

I decided to add some underglow lights to our DIY Ford Transit camper van for safety at night at campgrounds. In the photo, you see this light kit underneath the Transit. Super impressed from the unboxing thru installation and the results! Seems to be quality materials. I did deck lighting in my Gheenoe and ran it to the switch on my boat. For reference the before and after pics are in broad daylight with the garage light on. I ordered a 2nd set for under my truck bed rails which I'll wire to my OEM cargo lights. The length of wire from the switch to the two sides is the same, so the ‘Y’ in the wiring is near the driveshaft in the middle of the undercarriage. This was super annoying and difficult to work with. There was only a letter of a couple inches of wiggle room and it took me forever! I had to use fishing line to get it through tight and weird spaces and I hated it. When it stops working I will definitely cut it out. Installed on a 2019 Chevy Colorado with good results. I like these because they have a switch and are more rigid than other similar products. I recommend laying them out and flattening with a board for a day or so prior to install because they maintain a curl from the packaging. Instructions are simple enough. I installed these over the weekend - hardest part was having to run a power wire from the battery through the cab, under the bed and up to the rear tail-light. And that wasn't even that hard. Then I mounted the lights to the bottom of my utilitrack rails. Much of the light is aimed downward but there's enough reflection when it's dark out to light up the whole bed plenty. They are very bright, they have true 3M adhesive backing and are waterproof too! Be sure to clean the mounting area with alcohol before applying the strip lights.
