Looked at a bunch of options before landing on these. As you can see from the photos, they are BRIGHT and consistent which is exactly what I was looking for. Notes:1) To be safe, I purchased very high bonding (VHB) double-sided tape, peeled the sticky on both and applied the VHB to this sticky stuff. Didn't want to risk the quality being low and needing to re-do it; well worth the extra few bucks, for the peace of mind.2) Quality seems good, my only qualm is the wires are 22 gauge. That's extremely thin, cheap wire. Is it enough to handle the amps? Yes, however I would love to see 18 gauge just for defense in depth.3) I ran a dedicated hot wire from the battery to a switch, to a magnetic switch that opens when the tailgate is down. This means I could wire the switch light as "always on" and have it turn off when the tailgate closes; therefore, the switch light is always when needed so you can see where it is, but it won't drain the battery when the tailgate is up. Highly recommend this configuration. There's a few youtube videos to help guide you through the install, recommend reviewing those and making your own plan.Can't speak to longevity or water resistance, as I've only had them installed for 1 month, but so far so good.
