I chose this Nilight kit over some other cheaper options for a couple reasons. I wanted something that was waterproof and these LED light strips have a nice thick clear waterproof casing over them to keep moisture out and also help protect the LEDs.I also wanted something with a black backing so it would look as "invisible” as possible when they were not in use. Some YouTube videos used the cheap LED light strips that had a white backing and were not waterproof. They would stick out like a sore thumb against a black truck bed.The wire harness makes installation simple, but I ended up using my own waterproof low profile switch so they could easily be turned off and on at the tailgate and not worry about corrosion or moisture damage in the switch.I was skeptical of the adhesive that’s included on the strips, but I installed these 2 weeks ago directly onto the bed of a Honda Ridgeline and so far they’re sticking well.All in all a great product and provides a lot of extra light in the bed!
