My use of this trimmer may be unusual - I had a 12" trimmer for many years that was only a few inches wide, I was able to keep it in the middle desk drawer. , and use it to cut paper for shipping labels etc. Over the years the blade has become dull and I have had to replace it. I chose this Bria trimmer as the best replacement available. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted, but the closest thing I got was the Bria Blade. At 5 inches, it's too wide to fit in my center box. It has a full sized bed, which I don't need, and it has a full 10-inch fold-out armrest, making it difficult to use on a crowded desk. The paper does not slide easily under the cutter bar unless the cutter bar is bent left and right. But with all these limitations, it's the closest I can find to replacing my original trimmer. If you can afford desk space for storage and use, the Bria trimmer is for you. Replacement blades are affordable and easy to swap out. The trimmer is well made and I think it will last a long time. I've used it about a dozen times since it shipped, and each time it's been easy to use (after freeing up desk space), gave me accurate results, and did exactly what I wanted. A worthy replacement for my previous trimmer.
