Ok. After looking at many other pet/cat doors I saw some reviews saying they are amazing and blah blah blah but I chose this one over many other similar products from other vendors that offered a PLASTIC SOLID DOOR. The main reason was that in 2 different reviews of 2 different products but with similar characteristics, there were 2 cats that got their paws stuck in the door and almost broke it. I freaked out just imagining what could happen to one of my two cats when we're not home. I'm really glad I was paying $22 for this door (instead of the $6 asking price for another door from a really good brand). Why? Good. I installed the door yesterday and apparently the cats were scared of this new thing in the door. After looking at them and trying to teach them how to use the door, I see that their initial insecurity was the main reason for the hard plastic door tragedy. They check the door with their paws. and sometimes they don't get through quickly, leaving a tail between the vinyl door and the frame. This pet door is great. The installation instructions are on the side of the box. My door is 1.5 inches wide and fits perfectly. The vinyl flap is remarkably flexible and strong to the touch. will stick close to the magnet. I can't see an open gap between the vinyl and the plastic frame greater than 0.5mm, which allows us to keep the AC on without cold air escaping the room. Installation is easy, especially if you have the right saw to cut the door. The outer frame is perfect for any screw hole. If you haven't flipped the outer frame upside down (it happened to me, LoL), buy it. Your pet deserves to move around the house safely.
