This was cheaper than other similar designs. The other design with the small gold SVS adapter looks good, but the female outputs are really too close together. I prefer the Y adapter to avoid unwanted signal interference. I have new SVS subs! So the old subwoofers went to my porch screen where an older model AV receiver with a subwoofer output required this adapter. I have received many cables from MediaBridge. I found all of them to be of high quality, with no sonic or functional flaws. I also like their price, which isn't the absurdly astronomical of some brands that people claim justify spending hundreds of dollars. This company should be your choice for cable products. I'm a music lover who knows where to save money without sacrificing quality.
