I bought these headphones because they have an HDMI port. What the instructions say but the description on the web page doesn't - it only works over HDMI (ARC) if you have that connection. It will NOT work via a direct HDMI connection. I wanted to buy two, one for me and one for my wife when we listen to movies on DVD. I also found out that you can't split an HDMI (ARC) port - it just doesn't work with a splitter or switch. It seems that in today's technology someone would have invented an ARC splitter! So I sent it back to Revane. Another negative: the controls on the right ear are difficult to control (volume, on/off, etc.). They're flush mounted to the surface, so you have to take the phones off your head, find the dial, then adjust it, then put it back on your head! A positive note, they are very comfortable around the ears! The sound was satisfactory at best when I tested it with my only HDMI (ARC) connection, but this is a must for a soundbar. They give you additional analog (RCA) cables and an optical cable.
