Review on 🔌 Cable Matters 107022 PC Cables by Brett Gilbert

I bought this active cable to use with my Caldigit TB3/USB-C Pro docking station (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VL675DT/ref= ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title ?ie =UTF8&psc=1) connected to a power supply AND an FHD DUAL MONITOR. I use this dock frequently with my Macbook Air 2020 via TB3 and also with my Surface Pro 7 via USB-C. The cable supports both TB3 and USB-C at full bandwidth. Connecting the cable to the dock and my Macbook Air via TB3 works fine with dual monitors. However, when I connect my Surface Pro 7 with this cable, only one monitor works! Since this is a backward compatible active TB3 + USB-C, it should work with both protocols. I again used a short (0.5m) TB3 passive cable to connect my Macbook Air + Surface Pro 7 to the unit. Be careful if you have a similar case as this cable will not give you full support for the Caldigit Pro Dock.
