This is a good quality hay net, especially for the price. It was easy to load the hay and hang the net on the stall poles. The rope looks like it is made of synthetic material but is of good quality. It seems durable, but I haven't had a chance to personally test its durability because my horse absolutely hates this hay net. I bought him hoping it would keep him calm and busy at tournaments. Unfortunately, this had the opposite effect. This is a true "slow feeder" with orifices ranging from about 1 to 1.5 inches. When I asked my horse to eat, it slowly hurt her subtle sensibilities and ended up only making her more excited. If you have a regular horse, this hay net is perfect for you. If you have an animal that is concerned about feed, it's probably better to use a 2-inch slow-feed hay bag.
