I have used standard wood spacers for a long time and have never liked the fact that it is a load bearing ramp. If you think about it, that's a very thin line that carries the load. These pads are flat so they distribute weight more evenly. The exact thickness also made it easier to understand what I needed where. However, this may take longer than with wood spacers as it takes time to find the perfect combination of spacer gauges, but the end result is much better and well worth it. They are also impervious to water and moisture. used to install my new kitchen cabinets and will definitely be using them from now on.
