Just buy the damn thing!

My wife convinced me that I had to buy it, of course I refused. Although I had to admit I was wrong, this thing is cute! It makes things so much easier, it's not even funny. It was so great I bought another one so I have a spare it's cheap and makes the job a lot easier just buy the damn thing before your wife tries to tell you.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I don't remember

Light years are better than a finger!

One of the best $2 purchases I've ever made. My seal has always gone bad, maybe I had the wrong shape of my fingers, but for some reason I never got professional results. I had to repaint our sink every day and I saw these caulk lines. I was thrilled to have found this tool and hoped it worked as advertised and it worked. Faster than a finger, seals lines better than a finger, easier to use than a finger, and much easier to clean than a finger. Stop reading this and just buy it, you'll thank me

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Modern

Solid beads! suitable for hand tools

I found my first Homax Perfect Bead in a pile of old tools that my father had brought me. I literally wore it to work. I'm a technician at a rehabilitation center. And let me tell you, the last thing I want to do is lick my finger after soaking the tub in it. In addition, this handy little tool cuts great beads, is really easy to clean, and quite durable for the price. It has "a little bit" of technique after using fingers for over 25 years, but its consistency can't match.

Pros
  • permanent test results
Cons
  • wrinkled

Useful putty tool in some situations

Works a little better than a finger in a medium nitrile glove, removes excess caulk with less risk of scratching than a putty knife. This is a useful tool to use in conjunction with sealing and touch-up materials. It seems to work best for sinks and tubs and is moderately useful for thorough compaction like undercoating. It is well made and easy to keep clean with a rag. This is a decent "corner scraper" or tool for cleaning up a little excess after molding a corner bead. It's no wonder one…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Can't remember but there was something

I'll never seal without them again

I'm not a professional, but I'm good at smoothing a bead of caulk or caulk with my finger. Lots of DIY projects have given me some practice. I had to put a lot of silicone caulk in very visible places in our newly remodeled bathroom. I decided to give it a try. I will never caulk or caulk again without this or a similar tool. It makes the whole process much easier, faster and gives better results. I figured it would take a long time to "feel" it to find a good angle, pressure, etc. It turned…

Great value for money

Very good value for money. That's why I bought this item as I just needed to take a shower. I recently stripped off the peeling paint my landlord used to "caulk" the floor of my concrete shower, unfortunately the cheap caulk came off with it. I used this with Gorilla silicone glue as I thought it would stick better. It worked very well to create the perfect roll and was cleaned with a dry rag (silicone is very sticky). I wouldn't recommend using it on concrete or masonry if you plan on using it

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Little things

For the demanding.

For those who don't like their fingers wet/dirty. This product was recommended to me by a hardware store employee. My old method was to use a damp finger and smooth out. After using this product once, I went back to my old method. New doesn't always mean better, I guess. I found my old method to be easier, faster and gave me much more control over the final smoothing process. Old School FTW is here. Don't get me wrong, the product works and will work as advertised, but you can get a much better

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • No power

Efficient, inexpensive, yet durable

I moved into a new home just over a year ago. I'm not sure why the sealing work seems to be of poor quality, but I've noticed some cracks and splits in my bathroom and kitchen recently. I learned to caulk my bathroom using the wet finger technique. The trick with caulk is to put the caulk in the gap, spray it with water/cleaner, it's easier to wipe off and use your finger to make a nice edge, then wipe the excess off your finger. I've had good results with this technique but wanted a cleaner…

Well another completed project

and something I will never do again. Nothing about working with tiles satisfies me in the slightest. I have a large tiled walk in shower and for the past 4 years my sister and brother in law have used it solely because they stayed with me. As it turned out, for the past 4 years, the dear sister did not consider it necessary to wash the shower! They had just undressed and when I saw my SHRUDDY shower I couldn't believe my eyes. I sprayed him with bleach for 2 weeks and he didn't mind. Tried…
