Nothing Gorilla About It

First, let me say i've been a fan of Gorilla Glue products for a decade. I bought this to repair an Aerogarden, the height-setting button snapped off, and it's normally screwed on. Rather than just adhering plastic-to-plastic, i wanted to stick the button back on and make it capable of gripping the screw, too. So i shopped for epoxy and saw Gorilla Glue's name and knew i had to try it.The epoxy worked, so it gets three stars. If you want an epoxy, this certainly qualifies. However, it's not…

Pros
  • So easy to dispense & apply. Bonds hold well.
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other epoxy options

Needs a top: my feedback

This product works fantastically. It sets relatively quickly and provides a strong bond. It’s relatively easy to dispense through the plunger system. That being said, the only problem I have with this product is the lack of a cap. I have used these a few times, but I never use the entire unit all at one time. It would be great if there was some kind of top so that you could save it for later. Right now I’m using duct tape to seal the top and it works ok, but it’s not ideal.

Pros
  • No dislike, perfect stuff
Cons
  • Requires a steady hand and attention to detail when applying

open dispenser still good 2 years later

You probably already know that epoxy is good for creating a tough, clear join between pieces of many solid materials. What surprised me is Gorilla's clever, clever dispenser which allows multiple uses of the same dispenser. What surprised me even more is that it was over TWO YEARS between my first and second use of this specific epoxy dispenser.and it still worked liked a charm. (be sure to follow the simple two-step directions before storing the dispenser)After a brief hesitation in one tube…

Pros
  • It is what it is, two part epoxy glue with a 5 minute working time.
Cons
  • May not hold up to stress or pressure over time

Fantastic, and super strong

I bought this for a mirror whose back had come off--the mirror frame is like a big box with the mirror behind it, and the back was glued on to the frame. The back was attached to the frame with glue, which over time had come off, and since the only way to hang the mirror was through the holes on the back, I was nervous that I wouldn't find glue strong enough that would not only stay put, but that could hold the weight of the entire mirror while hanging on the wall. The mirror is probably 4'x3',

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Difficult to use effectively

WOW! this stuff works great!

I have a heavy vintage desk stapler (they don't make them like that anymore) that the top cap came loose many years ago. No amount of super glue would ever keep it intact very long. I think Gorilla epoxy worked a miracle. Same thing with the plastic top of my mop handle that has the hanging hole and came unglued so it couldn't be hung to dry. I believe it's on for the life of the mop handle now :=) That's the only two critical needs I had for it at this time, and very impressed with it. It's…

Pros
  • Sticky stuff.
Cons
  • Can cause irritation to skin and eyes

This epoxy works well! Follow the instructions!

This was used to repair some resin on a statue, and to permanently join figurine partsMany reviews on here complain about the setting time and the epoxy tube being only single-use as it dries out. I'm here to correct thatThe epoxy sets quickly, as in it dries just enough to hold your parts together. You will still need outside support to keep the pieces joined, but it hardens wellThe syringe tube the epoxy mix comes in, you're supposed to keep air out of it, and keep it capped in between…

Pros
  • It's epoxy, when you need it, you need it. The 2 pack was a nice deal.
Cons
  • May not hold up under certain temperatures or weather conditions

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Messy but works okay

The dispensers rarely release the Epoxy and hardener in equal amounts. leaves a sticky residue that must be cleaned off after use, no big deal. It will never dry clear, but in an Amber (yellow) translucent color. Okay for gluing most items or encasing to protect them, small art projects. Anything else, not so much. Difficult to polish back after any sanding if for art. I've used it to place polished stones, gems, insects, etc. on the top of walking canes and sticks. I will say it doesn't wear…

Pros
  • Works as advertised and sets solid very quickly.
Cons
  • May not bond properly in certain conditions

I Love This stuff!: my feedback

I do a lot of 3D printing, and have not been too thrilled with a lot of the adhesives I've tried for PLA filament. However, this Gorilla epoxy works beautifully! It bonds very well and cures quickly! It mixes well and is very forgiving - out of dozens of applications, I've only had one instance of it not curing properly when I failed to measure out an equal ratio of resin and hardener. You have to work quickly, as it becomes too tacky to apply properly within 5 minutes. So it's best to carefully…

Pros
  • As expected from a Gorilla product, doesn't disappoint. Easy to mix, dries quickly, dries clear.
Cons
  • Dangerous chemicals inside the epoxy

Bonds well with auto ABS plastic

Cracked my side mirror backing out of the garage and got a little movement when I tested it :( Used this after checking out a lot of reviews for different products online. I would suggest dispensing a little until both sides have the same amount coming out as it was uneven at first (I threw away that bit). Once it was coming out even, I followed directions by stirring for the alloted time and using the end of a paper clip to get in the same crack. I just wanted it to stabilize. After curing 24…

Pros
  • Worked like a charm, with some coloring added, to fix a chipped coffee mug.
Cons
  • Short working time

Kiln fired glass repair!

Very specific review here: I took a glass class at the local community center, this was kiln fired glass, one of my pieces, when fired a second time to slump into a bowl, cracked and then did not fused properly. So essentially there was a hole in the glass. I bought this gorilla epoxy as a Hail Mary and it was well worth it. The photos attached are of the glass repaired, so now you can see, if you’re looking for it, where the damage was but regardless no more holes in my glass. I used scotch…

Pros
  • Was able to temporarily fix a crack in my window before I could get new glass put in. Very happy.
Cons
  • Not ideal for use on certain materials (e.g. fabric, paper

Rearview Mirror: my feedback

Used for my Rearview mirror after trying other glues made for rearview mirrors that didn't last more than a week. Been about a month and so far, so good.

Pros
  • Dries Clear; Ideal for clean, easy finishing
Cons
  • May not be waterproof

First-time user. for my opinion

I purchased this to attach wooden feet to wooden boards to make decorative 'risers', and it works just fine, no problem with adhesion.

Pros
  • Muy bueno
Cons
  • Need to purchase additional mixing cups and tools

Sets Fast - Challenging to Mix Well for Large Repairs

In the bathroom, we have cultured marble countertops and a matching (vertical) surround on the jacuzzi-style tub. While removing the tub surround to do some plumbing repairs, a hairline crack formed on one end of a 6ft panel, reaching roughly 2 ft in length. Rather than replace the panel, I decided to epoxy a 3/8" plywood splint to the back of the panel, to maintain alignment of the two sides and hopefully prevent the crack from propagating further. I've used Gorilla adhesives before for…

Pros
  • Creates a strong and durable bond that can withstand heavy use and impact
Cons
  • Not recommended for use on items that will be exposed to solvents or chemicals

It works great but no 5 minutes

I use this stuff a lot but realize it is no 5 minutes. I mean 5 minutes until it will hold - somewhat, but you still need to clamp or not touch it for a minimum of 30 min to an hour. It can still be tacky to the touch but solid after an hour but should hold, still though give it the full 24 hours before testing the bonding strength.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Strong odor during use

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to use once you figure out how to open.

I had to replace an outdoor post cap on my deck and only needed a small amount so I like this single use size. It arrived on time and was competitively priced. My only suggestion was that it was difficult to figure out how to get it out of the outer packaging and how to use it. Once I figured that out.product worked fine but it did take me a bit to figure out how to get at the epoxy.

Pros
  • Can be sanded and painted over for a seamless finish that matches the surrounding material
Cons
  • Need to make sure surfaces are clean and dry before application

Used to repair my 12 hinges on 4 doors. VICTORY !

Anxious to see what my good friend Time Traveler has to say about this! I have a couple of sets of dual doors into the kitchen/dining area and unfortunately the door frame is made of cedar, which is soft. Since these doors are used constantly all day, the hinge screws loosen and eventually the doors bang and the hinges get loose. I EPOXIED the hinges in place and the screws into their holes to prevent that from happening.I know that makes the hinges impossible to remove without damage, but I'll

Pros
  • Easy-to-Use Syringe; Separate barrels of resin and hardener keep epoxy from hardening, plus syringe dispenses evenly and includes a cap for multiple uses
Cons
  • Not suitable for rounding corners or curved surfaces

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Sets fast, cures strong, be careful with dispensing

Having not used this before there were some definate lessons, but once you get the hang of it, nothing beats this for an all-purpose gluing solution.I'm using this to glue parts of large figurines together after panting them and the bond holds very strongly even through accidental paint overspray.I didn't read the instructions that told me to get the air bubble out before first use and because of that, my first few mixes were a little unequal and as such, cured more slowly than expected, but…

Pros
  • Provides a fast and easy solution for repairing broken or damaged items in a matter of minutes
Cons
  • Potential for the epoxy to crack or chip over time

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Smells like farts and takes a while to cure

Smells strongly of sulfur, but I don't use epoxy that often and from what I've heard it's relatively common.I ended up applying it multiple times while curing because I got impatient and the part I was gluing still felt a bit flexible.

Pros
  • This two part epoxy works great. Fixed crack in my tub until I can get a new one.
Cons
  • Requires strong ventilation when working with it

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It’s works great but applicator can leak.

Leaks. Leaks. Leaks. It does it’s job flawlessly however if you don’t use all of it immediately good luck with that mess. The little plastic tip plug doesn’t work but the actual epoxy does! I do recommend this for medium repairs or a lot of small ones in succession.

Pros
  • Have used for years with alot of luck. Good price.
Cons
  • Not suitable for delicate or intricate projects

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong bond best in my review

Bought this to affix a few household items and my car emblem that broke off. Must say that this was probably too strong for the jobs! Good product. Will definitely recommend or buy again.

Pros
  • Use this to repair golf clubs. Works really well
Cons
  • Difficult to clean up excess or spills
