I bought this for a mirror whose back had come off--the mirror frame is like a big box with the mirror behind it, and the back was glued on to the frame. The back was attached to the frame with glue, which over time had come off, and since the only way to hang the mirror was through the holes on the back, I was nervous that I wouldn't find glue strong enough that would not only stay put, but that could hold the weight of the entire mirror while hanging on the wall. The mirror is probably 4'x3', so it's large enough that weight could be a real problem.I tried hot glue, but that was a no-go; it simply was not strong enough and with a slight tug, the back came right off of the frame. So I went to Walmart and read lots of reviews. When this came in the mail, I was unsure if this would do the trick. You have to mix the epoxy (which has a pretty strong smell.so definitely ventilate if you are sensitive to it) and then put it on. At first I thought it wasn't working, because after going around the entire frame of the mirror, it still was not setting--the back was coming off of the mirror frame and the epoxy was still wet and goopy. Hoping that it just needed time, I set a bunch of heavy books on the back to try to "clamp" the back to the frame, and left it there overnight. I don't know if I needed to wait that long or not, but lo and behold the next day when I checked it, the back was stuck to the frame and was NOT coming off or loose ANYWHERE. The mirror has now been hanging on the wall for months with no sign of the back coming loose. Hooray! This stuff is STRONG! Definitely would use again!
