Gorilla Tape makes an excellent all weather black tape but I needed white so I had to buy this. Gorilla Tape does not make a white all weather. I can’t believe this tape gets so many good reviews. This was supposed to be heavy duty tape. Instead it’s the thinnest lowest quality duct tape I’ve ever bought. So thin that you can’t rip it without it shredding. Also shreds when I cut it with scissors. Was hoping to use it outdoors but don’t trust that it would hold up. Will save to use as labels on bins. Serves its purpose. It is not as sticky as grey duct tape that you would find at your local hardware store, but that is a plus for me. I bought this to fill in the gaps on my air conditioner without having an ugly grey skin over my white window frame. It does a great job doing so (see picture). I would recommend this tape for applications that would require white tape, but would stick with the heavy duty grey or even gorilla tape for the typical applications.

Excellent for paper, but definitely not an outdoor tape and does not stick to tarp without adding superglue. I got the trunslucent one with grid. I tried using this stuff outdoors in dry conditions on two separate occasions and it is absolute disappointment.

At first I absolutely HATED this tape. It's really thin, NEVER tears straight (constantly gets runners and foldovers), and doesn't stay in high-heat/high-humidity applications. I bought this tape for it's color. I use it to seal around window air conditioners in my RV that are white. It sticks well to the a/c unit itself, but not so well to the painted wood frame around it. I keep having to re-press it when it comes loose. Time will tell how well the waterproofing capabilities work on the outside application.

I made a dreadful mistake by trying to save a few bucks by purchasing this tape. My intent was to use it inside my greenhouse to secure the loose ends of the plastic sheeting covering my greenhouse. This is not the best duct tape I ever bought, the glue is not very strong. Peels off from wood and plastic on its own. Not recommended for use with certain chemicals or substances.

Sorry to say, save your money. No diffrent than dozens of other tapes at box store for less money. Very little weather resistance.

I knew XFasten Duct Tape would most likely not be the same quality as some of the name brand duct tapes. I did not expect it to be as thin as it actually is though. Due to its thinness, it's a little tough to work with, and really only good for light-duty jobs. On the positive side, I like the glossy black color and it adheres well. Next time though, I'll stick with another brand.

I have been using duct tape for over 50 years and have several different rolls right now. I have never had a roll that was almost impossible to tear off cleanly by hand. It is also very difficult to cut with scissors due to the high strength adhesive. I is very thin - but very strong.

I was not expecting a super thin duct tape. Didn't even know it was a thing. I was mostly looking for white and stickiness and I got that, just surprised how thin it is. Not sure if it'd be as strong as reg duct tape.

I wrote a 5* review a few years ago. I used a roll I just received yesterday. It wouldn't stick to brown paper.This was supposed to be super strong. It must be a knockoff.

Used it for a craft project, creating a foam puppet head. Despite using it outside on a humid day, I had no issues with it adhering. It tore reasonably well but for more precision I used scissors.

Used outdoors to hold solar Christmas trees to my fence. Had a wind storm with 60 mile an hour winds and they stayed in place. Definitely recommend this tape.

I bought this to cover up an old date on a pancake breakfast sign for our school. It holds well and I like the fact it is non yellowing. I did have to put a couple of layers on the sign to cover up the purple letting, but I saved an enormous amount of money this way. New date stickers would have been almost two hundred dollars! I was able to write perfectly on the duct tape with Sharpie markers. I'm happy I found this duct tape!

Price is good, but not performance!It readily sticks to itself, and does it so annoyingly, because it is very thin, but mostly it just has a weak adhesive for anything but optimal conditions. If the application isn't extremely clean, it will not stick to anything for any time at all.
