Great Buy! - my new review

Who loves duct tape? Me! So glad to find white that's easy to use, tears effortlessly and sticks! Only time will tell if it continues to stay put and stays white. My hope is that it will. But at least it looks good and is very easy to work with.

Pros
  • Not overly satisfied. Works for the most part, but not as sturdy as other products. Thin & flimsy
Cons
  • Not suitable for delicate surfaces or materials

Greatest invention on my review.

Due to a new puppy, we had some severe damage on the baseboards of our kitchen cabinets. To truly fix the damage it would have cost over $5,000. I finally asked my husband if there was such a thing as white duct tape and even though he told me I was crazy, I found it, used it, and you can't see it! I am so happy! This is now my new BFF.

Pros
  • Resists tearing and stretching, offering superior strength
Cons
  • Might not be compatible with all types of tape dispensers

Not Heavy Duty - my new review

It is white, it is not heavy duty. It is very thin. Almost like scotch tape thickness, no where near as thick as something like gorilla tape.

Pros
  • Offers a cost-effective solution for industrial-strength adhesive needs
Cons
  • Might not be as cost-effective as other types of tape for certain applications

Duct tape in name only

I needed white duct tape for a project. Ordered 3 rolls on Prime. The start date for the project got delayed. Finally started up 10 days ago. The strength of this tape is minimal. "Regular" duct tape by national brands is thicker and stronger. The first (and only) roll I opened had holes inbetween the fibers. I used this tape for the project and saw how flimsy it was. I missed the return window by a couple days due to the project delay otherwise would have sent the other 2 rolls back in

Pros
  • Durable and sturdy for long-term use
Cons
  • Might not be strong enough to hold up to rough handling or transport

Just What I Needed!

Strong bond to painted metal post on a 10'x20' canopy. I use the tape to seal and hold together the canopy frame while putting it together. Once together, it makes it easy to pull the canopy fabric over the frame without the connections pulling apart. The white color blends well with the white color of the frame.

Pros
  • Thick surface allows extreme conditions and heavy exposure to harsh elements yet is still easy to tear and install, remove or reposition.
Cons
  • Might not be suitable for all types of packaging materials

Nice Big Roll Of Good Tape

Though I haven't given it a true test yet, it seems like a fine tape. Maybe slightly thinner than the white duct tape I had before but can't find anymore. I am sure this tape will come in handy for many projects that I use duct tape for.

Pros
  • Can be used for repairing and sealing air ducts and hoses
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in high-pressure or high-temperature applications

As long as you don't need to use this for the heaviest, toughest jobs, this tape sticks well enough for a lot of tasks and is much easier to use than silver duct and strapping tapes. At the same time, it's much stronger than masking tapes. I've used it for 3 1/2 years now, taping together lighterweight boxes for shipment and holding together containers like the tops & bottoms of plastic organizers with relatively heavy amounts of stone & glass jewelry beads and metal tools without ever having…

Pros
  • Stands up to extreme temperatures without losing stickiness
Cons
  • The roll might not contain as much tape as advertised

Not "professional " duct tape. Not duct tape at all.

This allegedly indoor/outdoor product held a thin, feather-weight piece of foam for less than an hour indoors. Adherence failed on both the ceiling and smooth aluminum. The product is thin enough to see through and has zero of the insulating properties of real duct tape. I ordered it because it said "duct" not "duck" and because it said "professional." It is not for ducts and is not professional in any way.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive compared to other alternatives

Order arrived promptly without any damage. Wish there was an option for bulk ordering with a discount. Our company loves this tape to use with our installs, just wish we could get better pricing when we are ordering 60+ rolls an order.

Pros
  • Don’t stick we’ll after about a week came down
Cons
  • Might not be as durable as advertised

Really disappointing

Bought this to tape seams/corners of outdoor shed. Within a few days (in 70 degree dry weather) tape became undone, flapping in the wind. I'm going with gorilla. (PS it's not totally clear FYI, it's noticeable).

Pros
  • I Like This Tape, very easy to work with.
Cons
  • this tape is very thin does not stick very good at allI will be staying with duct tape or gorilla tape

JUST TELL THE TRUTH

OKAY, WHOEVER WROTE THAT THIS IS NOT SHINY, YET NOT MATTE IS WRONG. IT IS SHINY;.IT IS HALF AS THICK AS REGULAR DUCK OR GORILLA DUCT TAPE; BUT I 'LOVE' THAT YOU CAN LIFT AND REARRANGE IT.IF IT STICKS TO THE TAPE THOUGH, IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET OFF.

Pros
  • I’ve always had regular duct tape but white is great. Can use it in so many places. Thick vinyl tape.
Cons
  • Might not stick in humid conditions

too transparent - my new review

found tape to be too transparent and not useful when trying to cover up printing on a white banner. Had to use gray tape first, then cover with the white tape. not exactly the look I was seeking.

Pros
  • Withstands moisture and sunlight, making it perfect for outdoor use
Cons
  • Can be challenging to cut or shape precisely

Best Clear Duct Tape We Used!

We used this tape on our greenhouse which is covered in a combination of 6 mil plastic and clear tarps. This tape sticks Very well without any surface preparation. It also tears straight and without any issues. We have had several rainstorms since application, and the tape remains stuck without the slightest signs of letting go due to weather. This is the second brand of clear duct tape that we have used on the same project and while both were effective, this tape would be my preference for…

Pros
  • Wonderful!! Love that it is transparent and it STICKS!!!!! :):)
Cons
  • Not suitable for use in extreme temperatures

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Thin and won’t tear straight

Nothing like the 3 inch I normally purchase. It’s much thinner and doesn’t tear straight across. I’ve wasted so much of this roll bc it doesn’t perform the same way as xfasten 3 inch.

Pros
  • Easy to tear by hand for quick and convenient application
Cons
  • Can be difficult to remove from packaging without damaging the contents

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wasn’t as adhesive as I needed

I thought this would be super adhesive and it isn’t. It is sturdy, easy to tear and I’m sure on other projects it would be fine.but I really needed super adhesive and it isn’t as I thought it would be.

Pros
  • Good one!! A bit overpriced, in my opinion, but fairly good!
Cons
  • Might have inconsistent adhesive, leading to uneven sticking

Good choice for my specific need

So far, this product has met my expectations with color and strength in masking a seam between a white plastic dog door insert and my white sliding glass door frame. The only reason I am not giving a 5 yet is that it has only recently been used and am still observing to see if it passes the test of time. Love the bright white glossy color of the tape though.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Not eco-friendly or sustainable

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Worst duct tape for my opinion

This is a very thin version of duct tape, the Xfasten heavy duty if much better, this version doesn’t stick well, hard to get a clean tear with it. Definitely not worth the price.

Pros
  • Provides strong and secure bonding to smooth, rough, or uneven surfaces
Cons
  • Can be difficult to reposition once applied

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not heavy duty for my opinion

This is flimsy and thin duct tape. It tears easily, splits and unravels. Very difficult to tear a strip straight across - almost always splits in the middle or unravels threads. Would not buy again.

Pros
  • Did what I bought it for
Cons
  • Easily tears when pulled too hard

Works as expected good for me

We used this to fix the legs on our outdoor furniture where it was peeling. It's only been on there for less than a week, but it's held up good through the rain. Will post more after we spray paint and get through the winter, if there are problems.

Pros
  • Silver polyethylene surface layer is moisture, weather, abrasion, heat and UV resistant for long term application at harsh conditions and is compatible with marker pens for labeling.
Cons
  • The tape might yellow with age or exposure to sunlight
