These are professional training collars. Yes they are a bit pricey but they are worth it. I have two Australian Shepherds who can be difficult at times. In the short time I've been using these collars, my dogs are much more responsive to my commands and much more obedient to me. I've found that 90% of the time I only have to use the vibrate setting. Dogs know they are in for a shock and react immediately to the vibration of the collar. Just knowing that I can reach and feel them through their collars makes a huge difference in how my dogs respond to me. If they were off the leash and out of range before, they knew they could be less responsive and not much was going to happen. Now they know that I am in constant contact with them. This makes them much more obedient. It's good for me and for her. This gives them more freedom because I'm more confident that I can lead them off the leash and still have control over them.
