I bought two new Dell monitors to use with the Lenovo laptop dock. I didn't realize until I set it up that monitors only have VGA and HDMI inputs and my dock only has VGA and DVI. I've tried making one in the pocket on the docking station and one in the laptop's HDMI port itself, but it only shows one or the other, not both at the same time (I don't think it was meant for dual screens, one with connected to the laptop, the other to the docking station). Ooooh I'm starting to search in a panic and I'm relieved to find this article where I get two adapters for a super cheap price and can run my existing HDMI cable while I wait for the adapter and then when it arrives is there next day (cheers next day delivery!) Connect the adapter to the docking station and HDMI to the adapter. It worked straight away and the color looks amazing! The only point of criticism is that the tiny metal screws are very difficult to turn, but I would have liked a more comfortable version. But it works and solved my problem for a few bucks and with minimal fuss, so I'm thrilled.
