Tactical Spork Best in Camping and Backpacking

I received this as a stocking stuffer and tested it well. In general I like what I see. Construction is good, decent stainless steel. The finish appears to be quite durable, surviving multiple meals, multiple tool tests, and a few trips in the dishwasher. The carabiner is small but works very well! I ate a traditional holiday meal with him and was surprised at how well he did it. The teeth easily pierced various types of meat and vegetables. Easily manageable with mashed potatoes and stuffing. The bowl is small and shallow, but you can eat liquids with it. If I had any advice, don't stick a finger through the center hole as shown on the packaging. Just hold it by the curved end like a regular fork. You can use it as a kind of weapon of last resort. Slipping your middle finger through the large hole allows you to hold the fork in a clenched fist. So it has a tactical function and can be used to repel anything that attacks you or tries to steal your freeze dried scrambled eggs. But I wouldn't trust him with my life! Other features: * Bottle opener: works, but as the metal is a little flimsy it took me a minute to work on. * Screwdriver: Works as expected * Wrench: Works as expected, but there may be an issue with the lever. The only real complaint I have is that it's a short spatula with a wide handle meaning it has trouble getting into deep pockets. As always, be careful what you get. . It's a bit of a fancy tool. I think if they focused on the food and added a can opener on one side it would be a winner. I'd say it's a good choice to add to your emergency kit, as a backup utensil, or as a stocking stuffer for a gadget junkie/emergency preparedness. If you're camping or going camping for any length of time, you might want to take one of its longer-handled cousins with you.
