First, the gooseneck is shorter than expected and almost impossible to use. The biggest problem is that when tightening the device on the round bar, the connection between the gooseneck and the clamp comes loose and the device cannot stay in place. I had to mount it on top of my gooseneck bike's main info screen in an upright position to hold the Kindle without the entire device falling off. It vibrates when driving, but now it stays in place. I wouldn't have to spend an hour trying to find the only compromise position the device would work in to hold a small tablet.
