Review on πŸ›οΈ Zinus Memory Foam Narrow Twin Cot Mattress - 5" Thickness / 30" x 75" Size by Chris Mania

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Just 4 inches of air-filled foam, a useless busted zipper, and lots of loose fiberglass!

This "mattress" arrived quickly and securely packed in a bag in a box. extra space so it can be resealed and vacuumed for return, which I will do. This "disposable" zipper is for closing only, it does not go back. I was able to remove the zipper to close where it popped out, but the zipper started unzipping again behind it. From then on I started itching because the fiberglass fire retardant was seeping through the fabric cover. The cover itself is vinyl backed and is very loud. I think this is to keep the fiberglass from sticking out, but the sides are fabric so you can see where the fragments are sticking out on the sides. The top view where it looks shiny is due to the fiberglass case. I originally bought this to cut for an RV mattress but due to the poor quality and the fact that it literally falls apart when air got in I'm already fed up. already open, there is only 4 inches of foam inside, and an inch of that is an eggcrate foam air pocket. I tried to lie on him. For camping, that probably wouldn't be so bad. It didn't smell that bad, it was more visible in the Airstream in an enclosed space. I know most of these box bed mattresses contain fiberglass as a fire retardant material, but seriously, there has to be a safer way to contain it. Or at least a cover where he's not just a leech. Have you ever slept on a real down pillow with a cheap pillowcase? This is the mattress.
