Update: 10/22/17 After being told they couldn't support me, they sent me the part anyway. But the problems continue, it wasn't that detailed. I told them I was missing a power adapter and they sent me the charging station that I had. -------------------------------------------------- -- I have used various radios for many years. They never come close to the advertised mileage, but maybe a mile. The 32-mile course will be on a mirror-like lake. However, Uniden has sloppy quality control and blunt support. My kit did not include an AC adapter for the charger as shown in the photo and according to the model number instructions. I've called support who will email me one as soon as I've emailed a copy of the receipt. Since the receipt didn't say "Bought New" they refused it and won't send me a power adapter. I thought they were only recently released, how could they even be sold used. When I was on the phone with a support rep, I asked what voltage the USB cable requires for charging. He said 120V. Smart guy. They don't make good contact in the charger, the slightest blow knocks them off the contacts. So I have no idea when the red light is off, that means it's charged or not working. Overall I would stay away from Uniden products.
