I don't think you will regret this purchase based on the reviews I downsized because my son was between 10 and 12 years old. 10 is perfect for him but he is quite a bloated kid so better and the jacket should have been snug on the tummy. but the length is perfect. We reordered 12 and the difference was I went up almost two sizes. So I took it, as it can be worn more than once and grows in it. We just hidden and secured some areas. He got so many compliments at the prom. And for the price you can't go wrong. Highly recommended
