My 18 month old insists on taking this thing with me everywhere

I bought this business board after my 18 month old boy discovered switches and locks. He wandered around the house yelling "UP!" until finally someone picked it up to abuse my light switches/locks/doorbell etc. This little board seemed like the perfect solution. Well he loves it. Goes everywhere. He would sleep with her too if I let him. Velcro breaks it. He flips the switch a million times a day. The gears and wheel have withstood very aggressive use. The laces are a bit advanced for him, but that doesn't stop him from trying (and I like that they're attached to the board). His older sister has to help him with the clasp, but I don't mind playing a little together. The only criticism is that the slide lock was installed with a gap of less than a millimeter. If you move the screw to secure it, it ONLY goes in the female end. He doesn't mind, but as the assigned pack mule, it annoys me that the lock doesn't actually work, so the door keeps swinging open and slamming as I lug the thing around. Maybe a quality control issue? Definitely I would buy it again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
