There is no way to center the laptop on the surface. I was wrong as I have a surface pro which has a rear kickstand. So it doesn't fit. I didn't come back because I don't want to spend money. BUT, there is a bulky wrist rest/mouse holder that I didn't need (I removed it). The top still didn't fit the platform so I had to take the thing off the bottom. So I use it when I'm sitting on the couch with my legs up, it just fits on my lap. But if I were to sit and use that thing on the right, I wouldn't be able to match your body to the computer. Maybe you need a small computer? I still couldn't. Pretty thin too.
