My son went to the pool in them and after a few hours I noticed a very strange pattern of markings on his stomach. I had to take him to the ER and the doctor thought it might be a poison ivy attack. It went away after about a day, but the same thing happened the next week. We found that the threads he didn't tie hit him and caused problems. So either tie the strings or expect a potentially weird, unwise thing to happen. But in the end they are great!
