I ordered this as 14g to match my piercing but it doesn't fit as the jewelry I received is closer to 12g making it uncomfortable and makes trying to put inches on a little painful. In addition, the metal ring is very stiff and difficult to bend when it needs to be inserted into a piercing that cannot be reached through the narrow opening when the pearl is removed. On the other hand the material seems to be of good quality, I would buy a size smaller than you need and would only buy it if the piercing it is used for is easily accessible/altered, such as a piercing. B. to pierce a lobe or an external cartilage.
