Review on πŸ’Ό Kensington 15-inch Lockable Anti-Theft Laptop Briefcase with SecureTrek (Model: K98616WW) by Robert Hardin

KENSINGTON'S RARA AVIS: A bag that has EXACTLY what is advertised on Revain AND MORE!

In an age when few things work exactly as advertised, this 17-inch lockable backpack from Kensington is a rarity. deep/rich pockets are better and a few small changes have been made - overall the design, materials, finish and functionality for an international million mile business flyer like me is as close to perfection for my needs as I have found (Photos will follow later ) ). ) I rarely, if ever, check my bag because, as all road warriors know, getting in and out of airports quickly is deadly, or worse, they get lost or thrown away. - Travel bag is very useful. What if you pack wisely and it's not yet the dead of winter at your destination? Can easily pack two days of business casual wear in the clothing department, plus a 15" MacBook Pro (in a well-spaced area), 10.5psi d+ keyboard (also padded), headphones in a bag, digital camera, backup battery/chargers on 10K+ cords, two iPhones, sunglasses, readers, Kindle, 750ml SIGG water bottle (inside or in external zip holder), keys (on included clip), mini umbrella, magazines (in case you're still into that) junk ) and work folders with plenty of free space. Fully loaded it rests on my shoulders as well as on my trolley case. Needless to say, I need not repeat the excellent descriptions and photos in the Kensington advertisement above to say that all of the claims are true, and to point out a few important details I don't remember them emphasizing: 1. This empty bag is VERY light for its size: a huge plus in today's flight world companies weigh everything on the plane (and will no doubt start weighing customers soon!)2. The twill nylon exterior looks quite nice and seems to resist scratches and tears well (upgrade after a month on the road)3. Not to mention that the bottom of the bag is covered with a high-density rubberized PVC layer, which is probably waterproof to protect it from being damaged on uneven floors or in humid places.4. There is a discreet but useful zipped top pocket just below the carry handle to store my RayBans in a hard case or to hold a passport + wallet, keys and/or a smartphone or two for easy access at airports etc. to grab. e.5. Like all laptop bags, it has a TSA compliant laptop compartment for those who are not TSA Pre/Global Entry certified (in the US).6. The lock/hold down system is the best I've seen, the zippers are strong and secure, the zipper pullers are very strong metal. It's impossible to break into this bag without destroying it, greatly increasing the chances of a successful insurance claim unless the thief simply sneaks past your bag and into an adjacent bag. Conclusion: This bag is well made, looks good, has all the features I need and at around $95 is an incredibly good value. Being able to keep an eye on my bag while I'm at work or lugging it to the bathroom for a minute or two is priceless for me when I'm out and about. If you're carrying today's complete business kit, chances are you've got somewhere between $3,000-$5,000 worth of an easily stolen/sold item in your pocket, not to mention your papers and passport. Being able to pack all of that into a nice $100 bag is a big dose of design magic, in my opinion, and a simple task: BUY THIS BAG.
