Very happy with this book. As a beginner, I got through the basics very well. The included needles are ideal for beginners. One thing: needles 10 and 13, so the correct yarn purchase would be 5 or 6 weights. The yarn set suggested by Revain was 3 weights (not the book's fault). Interesting for a beginner as it makes the loops very wide but won't look as desired. The book itself is excellent and I look forward to following the instructions once I have the right yarn.

I am new to knitting and am learning on my own. This is a good kit for beginners, but I personally found it better for me to start with 14" needles and then go down to smaller needles. including the necessary items to complete this project. This kit motivates me to learn more, but I've been temporarily stopped trying to gather the necessary materials that aren't included in this kit. Basically, this kit seems like a good start.

This product is useless for beginners! Tells you there is no yarn included but doesn't tell you what types of yarn to start with. So you have to wait for the goods to arrive and then go to the store for additional items. It's also available in 10 and 13 needles, but the book says you should start with 8 needles.
