Out of the box compatibility

I got this to replace my missing pens, chose the color I made to match my case and not the phone because the case I have the phone is not visible. I plugged it right in and it worked right away, I didn't have to change any settings, unplug the old button or anything. Although my phone was looking for my old pen just before I got this new one. I looked up how to sync the new pen and didn't have to watch it connect. Fiction! For those considering options: I know this is compatible because it's straight from the Samsung store. Of course there are cheaper options, but if you want to risk the stylus scratching the phone, being incompatible, or not doing everything the stylus is designed to do, be my guest. I have it because I can trust him. Just for that it costs $30, not $15. The cheaper options also don't do airbrushes or other things the pen was designed for. Basically, they work like a pen. That's all. Just a minor thing so you can draw or write more accurately, as honestly it doesn't matter much as this phone's one-fingertip note-taking is pretty accurate. And I don't want to risk other "s" pens scratching my phone. I bet you are too. Buy this. Don't risk it and go cheap. A $1,500 phone or a $30 pen? A $150 screen or a $30 pen? $15 and frustration when it doesn't do everything, return shipping fees, frustration and headaches, waiting for a replacement, maybe buy a $30 pen out of pocket, or just buy it right now? Is the extra $15 headache worth it for another pen? Not for me. If I lose the pen again I will 100% buy again.

Pros
  • Unprecedented, S Pen redefines Note capabilities
Cons
  • Some bugs
