Works but takes a long time

I had to cut the last 1/3 off to fit but works great. I have used it on 2 different engines. I broke 2 different pullers trying to pull the guide bush out but this one pulled it out the first time.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • May damaged

Great!: Brake tools

The thing is about the size of a step nozzle. I had a guide bush that I needed and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a tool that I would only use once or twice. Screw it in with a nut (tight only) and the grease gun will do the rest.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Not as thick as other tools

Copes with a stuck pilot bearing

This tool is fantastic. I used it to remove a brass guide bush that was really stuck. First they are used to move the hammer to pull out the bearing and it won't move. Use this tool and it came out with no problems

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Functionality

Good for pilot bushings, pilot bearings not so much.

See how it will work and for the CLUTCH CONTROL JACK it probably works great. For support bearings. not as much. However, it would be a great way to get into the needle bearings and lubricate them. But there was no use putting them off. It's not the fault of the product, I thought the bushing/bearing would work but it didn't. Instead, I had to find another tool to get the guide bearing out.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • For seniors

The best option for removing JACKS. Used on a Chevy 350.

I've been using wet bread, wet paper and grease to knock out bushings with a hammer and nut for over 20 years. This method creates a huge mess and is time consuming. It saved a life! I had a 350 Small Block Chevy Hub in less than a minute. This will not work with a ball bearing or needle bearing. For solid JACKS there is no better or easier option.

Cons
  • Some problems

You need this tool to make your job easier!

This is now my favorite tool for removing pilot bearings/sleeves! Very easy to use and requires minimal effort. I've used many methods in the past to remove them: plugging the hole with grease or bread and pushing it out with a screw, blind hole pullers, slide hammers, carving with rotary tools. It was so easy to slide it in and screw it into the socket and pump up the grease gun. A 20 year old bushing came out.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Fits

Complete rubbish, don't waste your time!

I was trying to use this 'tool' to remove the clutch guide from a Nissan Xterra. The tip of the tool is overextended and rests on the crank, preventing the tool from catching on the bushing. So I figured it would be easy, I'll just cut it. I cut it shorter and screwed it into a bronze bushing. Tightened, grease just squirted out of the threads. Made a mess to clean the jack, never moved. I banged him on the trash can in disgust. I found an aluminum rod the size of the center of the guide bush…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
